From today’s Scripture: “…because his hour had not yet come.”—Jn 7:30
Jesus spent his ministry going to Jerusalem. He knew he would meet his cross there. Before the cross, he had much to do in showing how to live a life as a follower. Today’s Gospel helps us to see that Jesus’ plan, the plan of the Father, still needed to be heard especially by his disciples.
Lent is a time for us to listen with our hearts in preparation to receive the glory of Easter, which we celebrate in 2 weeks. Has our Lenten journey been a time to be closer to the Lord? We move toward Jerusalem.
Let us pray: We need your grace to stay with you, Jesus, on your journey. Your journey is also ours.
