Fifth Tuesday of Lent

From today’s Scripture: “The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.”—Jn 8:29

When I was growing up, I tried to please my mother or father. What did I learn from the times that I pleased them and what of the times that I did not please them? Jesus lifts up the examples of pleasing his Father. Love asks of us that I please the Jesus who is in the other person, just as Jesus would do for me.

Let us pray: Jesus, as I look at the examples that you have given us in scripture about loving another person, help me to love the person in my daily life, just as you would love them.
