From today’s Scripture: “…a dwelling where you may abide forever.”—1 Kgs 8:13

In the Old Testament of the Bible, God dwelled in the holy of holies — set apart where only the high priests could enter. It was within this context that humankind could hope to receive their Creator. But Jesus changed all of that. He came and lived among the people — eating meals with them, healing their illnesses, and offering a new way to experience God.

Let us pray: Dear Lord, you exist alongside each and every one of us. Help me to recognize you in everyone I encounter.
