From today’s Scripture: “Those who trust in him shall understand truth, and the faithful shall abide with him in love: Because grace and mercy are with his holy ones, and his care is with the elect.”—Wis 3:9
Today is the Feast of All Souls, the commemoration of all the faithful departed. A few weeks back we asked our Glenmary supporters to send us their All Souls Day prayers, which will be offered up during Mass today. Our supporters come from all over the United States and each person walks a different life. But as one, we come together at the altar, asking for God’s mercy, peace, and grace, for those who have gone before us, so they may have everlasting life in heaven. God is always finding ways to unite us as one Catholic community, and prayer is such a beautiful way to do that. I’m so grateful for the gift of prayer!
Let us pray: God, thank you for showing me your mercy and love through the wonderful gift of prayer. Help me always to be grateful for this gift that unites all of us as one in your name.
