From today’s Scripture: “Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another.” —Mk 9:50

Through Our Lady of the Fields, farmers and field workers find their refuge and home. She restores their dignity, those who are looked down upon in our society. Oftentimes field workers and farmers are seen as uneducated and unintelligent. Venerated as Our Lady of the Fields, Mary restores the dignity of farmers and field workers and shows us the sacredness of the soil and fields.

Let us pray: Loving Mary, intercede for all your people. Inspire me today to look to the people around me as sacred and filled with dignity.
