From today’s Scripture: “Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.”—Mk 6:56
Commanded by Moses to make tassels on the ends of their cloaks to remember the law, Jesus follows this custom. As people reach to him, to the Word made flesh, they are healed. Let us, too, reach for the Word and find our renewal in him.
Let us pray: Ever-present Lord, give me the grace today to reach for you and find my healing in you. You are the Word made new in our lives, healing us.
