From today’s Scripture: “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest awhile.” —Mk 6:31

Even Jesus needed to take a break! He found his rest in prayer, and taught his disciples to do likewise. Prayer is a major challenge in many of our lives. We know we’re supposed to do it, but like exercise, and like eating and sleeping properly, we sometimes have a hard time hanging on!

But we all know that forming and living by good habits really works. Yes, if you’re reading this maybe you already pray. If not, maybe start in some small way today. Like an Our Father on the way to work or store.

Let us pray: Lord, teach me to pray. Give me grace to make time to pay attention to you, to let you be known to me in my heart.
