Wisdom in speaking
From today’s Scripture: “‘Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute.’”—Lk 21:14-15
What comfort we should have in knowing that God is always with us and will give us the words of wisdom we need at any time. Do we believe that he can give us the words we need? How can we trust more and more in his promise?
Our God is a God of love, of power, of wisdom and of care for his children. How much peace it should give us to know with certainty that “I myself will give you a wisdom in speaking.”
Let us pray: We have you, God with us, to defend us and give us all we need to speak wisely of you. Give me always the words I need to speak for you and of you.
