From today’s Scripture: “Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it.”—Lk 17:33

Our society tells us to do all you can to be rich and successful. The more you have the better. This is not losing one’s life for God’s Kingdom. It is building our kingdom in this world. We may ask, what owns us? If we can say we seek to live the calling of God, then we can say we have lost our lives for the Lord. This calls us to put the Lord first in our lives. We are called to love the Lord as well as our brothers and sisters. The world needs people willing to follow the teachings of the Lord. Oh, what a wonderful world it would be.

Let us pray: Lord, help me to listen to your call in my life.
