From today’s Scripture: “… there has been none greater than John the Baptist: yet the least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” —Mt 11:11

Every person is a child of God. Everyone is important to the Lord. There really is no “least” in the eyes of the Lord. My parents raised 8 kids. Each of us is unique and has a different journey of life and faith. Yet, my folks love each of us and worked hard not to show favoritism to any of us. God is even more loving and more caring than my wonderful parents. You are not the least, nor are you the best. Yet, you are favored by God today and every day.

Let us pray: Lord, may I not judge the worth of anyone. May I accept my own giftedness and special place in God’s family. May all people live as brothers and sisters.
