25th Tuesday in Ordinary Time

Daily Reflection

25th Tuesday in Ordinary Time

God calls upon us.

From today’s Scripture: “He said to them in reply, ‘My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.’” —Lk 8:21

We can all be part of Jesus’ family if we listen carefully to the word of God. When he speaks, we must listen and follow his will. It is only through our careful consideration and obedience of his word that we grow closer to God. Through God’s grace, we are made his children. We must show our thanks for this grace through our abilities to listen and act when we are called upon.

God loves us: We belong to him before we belong to anybody else. May we grow as his children and develop deeper connections to him and our loved ones by listening to his word, praying, and leading the lives of good will he calls us to.

Let us pray: Lord, today I thank you for the grace you have given me. Help me to listen to your word and take action to be the person you ask me to be.
