25th Tuesday in Ordinary Time

Ordinary Time_Eucharist-4

From today’s Scripture: “All the ways of a man may be right in his own eyes, but it is the LORD who proves hearts.”—Prv 21:2

Proverbs tells us that we may think that we are right, in our own eyes. We may have convinced ourselves. But it is the Lord who proves our hearts. He knows our deepest intentions and motivations. But do we ever learn? Proverbs also reminds us that when a wise person is instructed, she or he gains knowledge. We must listen to God’s word when it is spoken.

Let us pray: Lord, may we take the time, with you, to explore the depth of our own hearts. May you shine your light on our motivations and lead us to your knowledge.
