From today’s Scripture: “These last ones worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who bore the day’s burden and the heat.” — Matthew 20:12

When reading this scripture, I have often thought I would probably be one of the first laborers who stood up and shouted, “Not Fair!” But upon further reflection, I am overwhelmed at the landowner’s generosity. So much love and forgiveness I have received from our God despite all the times I have failed to show up to work on time or not completed my job. God’s love is a free gift to all of us. Let me rejoice today and not be jealous that all of God’s children receive that same love

Let us pray: O God, while I may not have always merited your love, you have never abandoned me. I give thanks with all my heart for this wonderful gift I have received from you.
