From today’s Scripture: “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” —Lk 11:9
Many times, we “expect” God to give us blessings, whether we do it unintentionally or feel entitled to those blessings. In our hurried lives we sometimes forget to stop, take a breath, and be intentional with our prayer, to ask for what is truly needed. God gives us many blessings through his mercy; imagine if we took the time with Jesus at the Blessed Sacrament to knock at his door—oh, the doors that would open.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, today we ask for what weighs heavily in our hearts, for you said, “ask and you shall receive.”
