From today’s Scripture: “But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears because they hear. Amen I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.” —Mt 13:16-17
As I write this I feel sorry for the millions of people in our world who have not seen or heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. They walk about daily unable to see and hear what I have seen and heard. Why am I blessed and others are not? My life as a Glenmary Home Missioner offered me a chance to share the Good News with some few. I thank God daily for this gift, and I pray for others to be open for this grace. I invite you to be sharers of the Word of God.
Let us pray: Send out your Spirit, loving Father, and call on those who would become a bearer of Good News to those who have not seen or heard the Good News. Amen.
