Encouragement and concern for my brothers and sisters
From today’s Scripture: “For God who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of Jesus Christ.” —2 Cor 4-6
Have you ever been in a very dark room? Maybe a large or unfamiliar one? Or outside on a very dark night? We can feel very lost, and maybe even a little bit frightened! What we don’t know might even hurt us—what if there is a deep hole in the path ahead, or, inside, a piece of furniture in our way?
Maybe those are trivial examples, but we all do stumble through life sometimes, don’t we? Thank God for Jesus, we might say. God let light shine out of the darkness in the life and ministry of Jesus, and in our hearts today in the resurrected Christ. We are blind no longer.
Let us pray: Lord, please shine your light in my heart today. Where do you want me to go? Help me to follow your lead.
