Daily Reflection

Sts. Joachim and Anne

We have hope.

From today’s Scripture: “It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants.” —Mt 13:32

Faith is hard sometimes. It is for me at least. Sometimes personal setbacks, health challenges, family struggles or even politics can make us raise our eyes to the sky and wonder why difficult things are happening. But we are believers. We have hope. And even in the times where our faith is small, it is powerful.

Jesus says in today’s Gospel that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. That’s not a testament to our power as believers, but to his power as Savior. If we keep the spark of faith alive, Jesus can work wonders.

Let us pray: Lord, I believe in you. Help me to have faith in you in good times as well as in trying times.
