Seventh Wednesday of Easter

God’s trumpets

From today’s Scripture: “‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”Acts 20:35

Did you ever wonder why we celebrate Easter with many lilies? Well, the answer is lilies are God’s trumpets. They proclaim a new day and a new world is already here. New people are being born every day by water and the Spirit. Hope is ours if we listen to the lilies. They give freely, and proclaim their creator loudly, asking for nothing in return.

Let us pray: O God, creator of the lilies of the field, help me to listen to your trumpets and fill me with hope.
