Awesome
From today’s Scripture: “The fear of the LORD is pure”—Ps 19:10
When we hear about “fear of the Lord,” we should think, awesomeness. Standing in awe before the Lord is pure. Perhaps we seldom get a sense of the awesomeness, the loving pureness of God. People talk of sunsets, of mountaintop views, of the vast expanses of nature at the ocean’s shore. There we get a glimpse of awesomeness.
Let us pray: Open my eyes, Lord. Help me to see your mighty hand in the awesome things around me, made by your hands.
