18th Wednesday in Ordinary Time

The power of faith

From today’s Scripture: “O woman, great is your faith!”—Mt 15:28

The Canaanite woman is persistent in her plea for Jesus to heal her demonic daughter. Jesus is spurred to action by her faith and her daughter is healed. Once again, it is faith that saves. Faith is personal. It comes from the heart.

In faith we seek a close relationship with Jesus. In faith we strengthen that relationship through trust and prayer. In faith we share his love so that all may know the Lord.

Let us pray: Lord, my faith is the foundation of my relationship with you. Thank you for this gift of love. May I always be your faith-filled servant.
