Farm Update

This model was constructed by Dave Kreher, head of People's Self-Help Housing in Vanceburg. Dave is the construction manager for the project.

Model for New Chapel: Front View
The porch roof on this side of the new structure captures a familar sense of the Old Farmhouse. This is where the traditional sign proclaiming "The Farm" will be affixed. The lower level, entered through the porch door, will be an open space used for small gatherings and meetings. The chapel space is on the second (flood-proof) level. It is entered from the back. (See below.)

To the rear can be seen the fire circle and a low wall to be constructed with the stones from the Old Farmhouse chimney.

A "Holy Spirit stained-glass window" can be seen from this angle. It will be created by local artist Charley Campbell.

Model for New Chapel: Rear View
The back steps lead to a second-level worship space with French doors and sky lights to let in the out-of-doors.

Four stained-glass windows by local artist Charley Campbell will be positioned on the east wall (not visible in this photo). These windows will capture the four seasons and will echo the Farmhouse windows destroyed in the fire.
