Looking to Spring. We're gearing up for
our annual rush of volunteers during the late
winter and early spring, and in the meantime,
we're trying to beat the winter cold with
hard work and good times, laced liberally
with steaming mugs of coffee and hot
chocolate! My latest Vanceburg
View will give you a look at our
Christmas celebration, and see how we've
taken the leap into the 21st century!

Facebook Update
The Glenmary Farm had a GREAT first month on Facebook, with about 70 fans finding the page. We hope this will be a great way for Farm volunteers to stay connected. In addition to other volunteers reconnecting, I hope to reconnect with some folks too. See you in cyberspace!

Men in Formation
Glenmary currently has three men in second-year novitiate who are working in the missions for the year. One of them, Aaron Wessman, is serving Holy Redeemer Church with Father Jerry Dorn, a frequent visitor to the Farm. Read about Aaron's service as well as that of Crispine Adongo and Craig Digmann.

Glenmary's Connection to Life Teen
Farm volunteers, along with hundreds of thousands of others saw Matt Smith on Real Life: New Orleans in 2002 and know him as a national spokesperson for Life Teen, a popular youth ministry based in Phoenix. What you might not know is that Matt grew up in a Glenmary mission in North Carolina! He, and others, offer a unique perspective about growing up Catholic in the home missions.
