March is finished! The
Glenmary Farm had over 100 college and high
school volunteers serve the needs of those in Lewis
County. Through wind, rain, and a few warm days we
constructed new homes, visited those in a nursing
home, visited and played games at Comprehend and
organized clothes and packed food at Lending a
Helping Hand Food Pantry. Although it was busy, I can
say with confidence that we, the Farm managers,
volunteers and I, had a great time.
Check out April's Vanceburg View for all the
details of our busy March, information about a new
Glenmary Farm Manager, information about coming
back this summer, information about Katelyn Corner,
and the newest Glenmary Farm wish list.

Rethinking Our Social Fabric
Over the past month, Father John Rausch has made frequent visits to the Farm. His column, Faith in the Marketplace, is published in over 20 Catholic newspapers throughout the country. Most recently, he offers some reflections on society, issues and social justice in Rethinking Our Social Fabric. "Rethinking our social fabric ultimately means identifying the threads to weave the common good for a just society." |

Finding Hope
"Hope is stronger than despair," writes vocation director Father Steve Pawelk in a recent In Search of the Spirit column. "The life of a Christian and certainly of a missioner is to help bring, nurture and celebrate hope based in faith for all God's people." |
